STATEMENT OF INTENT

  • We are committed to the principles of diversity and equality.
  • We aim to provide an environment that is free from discrimination by ensuring equality of opportunity in all our service delivery. We will not tolerate any form of unfair treatment.
  • Decisions related to the recruitment, employment, training, progression and retention of staff are governed by this policy.
  • All staff, volunteers, service users and parents/carers will be treated equally regardless of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, sexual orientation.
  • All members of staff, contractors, associates and business suppliers will be expected to actively demonstrate their commitment to these principles and are encouraged to challenge unacceptable behaviours
  • We will treat all individuals who operate within and outside Analysis of Sport Ltd with whom we associate openly, fairly, with dignity and respect. We will provide a working environment free from any harassment, bullying, victimisation and unlawful discrimination, ensuring equality of opportunity throughout all our processes and practices.

Milly Wildish or a consultant of Keys to Safeguarding Ltd is responsible for Equality and Diversity. Keys to Safeguarding is a sister company of Analysis of Sport.

Staff

  • Ensure they read and follow this Policy and adhere to any relevant guidance or in-house material relating provided
  • Attending training as and when required
  • Report any concerns/issues as and when they arise

RECRUITMENT, SELECTION AND PROMOTION

Analysis of Sport Ltd is committed to maintaining a diverse workforce. Analysis of Sport Ltd advertises roles, ensuring it is possible for people from all sections of the community can apply for a job.

Analysis of Sport Ltd aim to recruit the most suitable person for the job based on their skills and competencies and that no job applicant or employee receives less favourable treatment than another in relation to their age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, sexual orientation.

Job Descriptions and Person specifications are completed prior to advertising of the role and advertisements are clear and unambiguous and do not discriminate either directly or indirectly.

Selection of candidates is carried out on the basis of ability to do the job at the short-listing and interview stage.

A member of the interview panel will have received training on the safer recruitment process which includes our Equality and Diversity Policy prior to undertaking the role.

All staff and volunteers will be provided with a copy of this policy and be expected to read and adhere to it.
